About

Hello & Welcome. I am so glad you found your way here.

Hello, my name is Dena — pronounced like Denali (emphasis on the “a”).

To me, bodywork is a conversation. A dialogue between hands and bodies.

Very early in life, I noticed that my hands could quietly soothe just by their presence. Over time, that sensitivity drew me toward the abdomen, a vulnerable part of the body that often receives little attention or touch.

My hands and intuition could sense what was needed in this part of the body: how to move slowly, listen deeply, and create a safe space to feel.

My path into this work was also shaped profoundly through caregiving for my mother during her final year in her body. Being so intimately present with her as she moved through her transition changed me forever. I now understand how that experience prepared me for this work.

At Moonrise, I offer nurturing treatments centered on abdominal care. My intention is to create a space where you can feel safe, cared for, and reconnect with your body.

More than anything, I feel devoted to helping people come alive again.

If you would like more information about my work, please review the FAQ’s and feel free to reach out if you have any more questions.
